The City of Edmonton has set up temporary installations of the bike infrastructure options being considered for the routes in Strathcona and Downtown. Edmontonians can try it out by riding, walking or driving beside it.
This opportunity will be offered on Friday, September 19 from 3 to 8pm, and on Saturday, September 20 from 9am to 2pm, on 83 Avenue (from McIntyre Park to 106 Street).

Share your input on the evaluation criteria that will be used to choose the best bike route locations in Stratchcona and Downtown.
The criteria need to align with three key directions from the City of Edmonton’s strategic plans: supporting communities, providing transportation options, and encouraging sustainability.
Key themes have been identified, including balancing the impact on other travel choices, like driving or walking; the difficulty and cost of constructing the bike route; how the bike route could impact the local area; and how well the route could serve cyclists and support ridership.
What do you think is important to consider when selecting a route?

What do we need to know about potential bike route options for the Strathcona Route?
The What the B*ke process is considering route options along 81 Avenue, 82 (Whyte) Avenue, 83 Avenue and 84 Avenue.
We need your input on what is happening and what is important along these route options to help ensure the route is located where it will have the greatest potential to provide the greatest benefit.

After a 7 month long city-wide discussion with Edmontonians about residential infill, the City of Edmonton has drafted an Infill Action Plan! The 24 actions in the Plan reflect what we heard, and are aimed at supporting residential infill in our city. You can read the draft plan here.
We’re looking for feedback as we finalize the Plan and move toward implementation.
